Cloudbet Sign Up in Canada: Step-by-Step Account Setup, Security, ID and Your First Deposit
Welcome bonus for new players + fast crypto payouts. Just helping a brother out.
19+ (18+ in AB, MB, QC). Crypto deposits. Cloudbet is licensed in Curaçao, not by any Canadian province. Not for Ontario or Alberta residents. Ad: we may earn a commission. Bet only what you can afford to lose.

Signing up for Cloudbet takes a couple of minutes. Signing up properly, so you don't hit a frozen withdrawal or a hacked account three weeks later, takes maybe ten. This guide walks a Canadian through the whole thing, step by step: the sign-up form, locking the account down, setting limits, what ID Cloudbet wants and when, and how to make your first deposit without losing coins to the wrong network. Think of it as the stuff I'd tell a buddy sitting next to me while he opens his account.
Ground rules first. You need to be 19 or older in most provinces (18 in Manitoba and Quebec). This site does not serve Ontario or Alberta residents. Cloudbet is an offshore site licensed in Curaçao and is not licensed by any Canadian province. Your licensed options are provincial sites such as PlayNow in BC, Manitoba and Saskatchewan, or Loto-Québec in Quebec. Full disclosure: we have an affiliate deal with Cloudbet, so we may earn a commission if you sign up through our buttons. It costs you nothing extra and doesn't change the steps below.

Before you start: a two-minute checklist
Have these ready and the sign-up goes smoothly:
- An email address you actually check, and ideally one you don't use for everything else. Cloudbet will send confirmations and security notices there.
- A password manager or a strong new password. Not the one you use for Facebook or your bank.
- An authenticator app on your phone (Google Authenticator, Authy, Microsoft Authenticator or similar) for two-factor authentication.
- Your real details. Name, date of birth and address exactly as they appear on your ID. You'll need them later for verification, and mismatches cause holds.
- A plan for funding. Cloudbet runs on crypto. If you don't hold any yet, either use a FINTRAC-registered Canadian crypto platform or the buy-crypto partners inside Cloudbet's cashier.
- A budget. Decide what you're willing to lose this month before you see a single bonus banner.
Step 1: Get to the real Cloudbet site
Search results for "Cloudbet Canada" are full of look-alike sites with names like "cloudbet-casino-something", some promising bonuses in Canadian dollars that Cloudbet doesn't offer. Some are just affiliate pages. Some are worse. The real site is cloudbet.com. Type it yourself, use a bookmark, or use a button you trust. Check the address bar before you enter any password, and check the licence details in the footer: the operator is Halcyon Super Holdings B.V., licensed by the Curaçao Gaming Authority under OGL/2024/328/0599.
There's no native Cloudbet app in the Apple App Store or Google Play. On a phone you use the site in your browser. You can add it to your home screen if you want an app-like shortcut. Any "Cloudbet app" download from a random link is a red flag.
Step 2: Open the sign-up form
On the Cloudbet homepage, tap Sign Up (top right on desktop, in the header on mobile). The form asks for an email address and a password, and has a box to confirm you're of legal gambling age and accept the terms. Cloudbet has also offered quick sign-in through some third-party accounts, such as Google. That's convenient, but it ties your betting account to that login. If you use it, make sure that account has two-factor authentication on too.
A few tips on the form itself:
- Password: long and unique. A password manager can generate one. Reusing a password from a site that's been breached is one of the most common ways betting accounts get emptied.
- Age box: only tick it if you're of legal age where you live: 19 in most provinces, 18 in Manitoba and Quebec.
- Promo codes: the standard Welcome Package doesn't need a code. If a site tells you to enter a "special code" for a bigger Cloudbet bonus, be skeptical and check the official promotions page.
Step 3: Confirm your email
After you submit the form, Cloudbet sends a confirmation email. Click the link inside to confirm the address. If it doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check spam and promotions folders. Don't request ten new emails in a row. Wait a few minutes between tries, and if it still doesn't show, contact support through the site's live chat.
Step 4: Lock the account down with 2FA
This is the step most people skip and the one I'd never skip. Go to your account's security settings and turn on two-factor authentication with an authenticator app. Then:
- Save the backup codes somewhere safe and offline. If you lose your phone without them, getting back in is slow.
- Prefer an app over SMS where you have the choice. SIM-swap scams are real in Canada.
- Never share a 2FA code. Cloudbet says plainly that its official staff won't ask for 2FA codes on Telegram. Real support never needs your code or password. If anyone asks, it's a scam, full stop.
- Ignore DMs offering help. Scammers watch social media for people asking Cloudbet questions, then message them pretending to be support.
Step 5: Set your limits before you deposit
Cloudbet's account settings include responsible gambling tools such as deposit limits, cooling-off periods and self-exclusion. Set a deposit limit now, while you're calm and haven't seen a single odds board. It's far easier to stick to a limit you set in advance than one you invent at midnight after a bad beat. Our responsible gambling page covers how to pick a number and what to do if you keep bumping into it.
Step 6: Fill in your profile correctly
At some point Cloudbet will ask for personal details: your full name, date of birth and address. Enter them exactly as they appear on your government ID and on a recent bill or bank statement. Nicknames, old addresses or a different spelling of your name are the most common reasons verification gets stuck later.
One account per person. Cloudbet's rules are clear that multiple accounts per customer aren't allowed, and opening a second one to grab another welcome offer is a fast way to get both accounts closed and any winnings held.
Step 7: Understand when Cloudbet asks for ID
Crypto doesn't mean "no ID". Cloudbet's terms (section 18) say full verification, often called KYC, is required once your cumulative deposits reach roughly US$2,200, and Cloudbet can ask for documents at any time if it has a reason. For a Canadian, that usually means:
- Photo ID: a passport, driver's licence or provincial photo ID card.
- Proof of address: a recent utility bill, bank statement or government letter with your name and current address.
- Sometimes a selfie or a photo of you holding your ID.
- For larger amounts, possibly proof of where the money came from.
My advice: if you think you'll ever deposit more than a few hundred dollars over time, verify early, before you have a withdrawal waiting. It's much less stressful to upload documents on a quiet Tuesday than when a big win is sitting in your balance.
And don't use a VPN to appear to be in another country or province. Your ID and address will show where you really are, and a mismatch is one of the most common reasons accounts get reviewed or closed.
Step 8: Get crypto into the account
Cloudbet doesn't take Interac directly. Canadians usually fund it one of two ways:
Option A: Interac to a Canadian platform, then send crypto
- Open an account with a crypto platform registered with FINTRAC and, where required, with your provincial securities regulator. Expect them to ask for ID too.
- Deposit Canadian dollars by Interac e-Transfer and buy the coin you plan to use, often USDT or Bitcoin.
- In Cloudbet, open the cashier, choose the same coin and copy the deposit address.
- Withdraw from the platform to that address on the same network.
Our guide to depositing with Interac at Cloudbet walks through this route in detail.
Option B: Buy crypto inside Cloudbet's cashier
Cloudbet's cashier links to buy-crypto partners such as MoonPay and Swapped, which let you buy with a card or other methods and have the coins land in your Cloudbet account. It's simpler for a first-timer, but those partners charge their own fees and run their own ID checks. Compare the total cost before you commit.
Match the network, every time
If you use USDT, Cloudbet supports several networks, including Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Avalanche C-Chain, Solana, Polygon, Tron and TON. The address and network have to match on both ends. Sending USDT on Tron to an address you generated for Ethereum is the classic way to lose money before placing a bet. Always send a small test amount first and wait for it to show before you send the rest. Our USDT deposit guide goes through each network.
Step 9: How the Welcome Package switches on
You don't need a code. Cloudbet's Welcome Package, worth up to US$2,500 in USDT, is activated by your first deposit of any amount. The 30-day window doesn't start at sign-up. It starts at your first real-money bet after that first deposit. That's handy: you can open the account, verify, and deposit on your own schedule, then start the clock when you're actually ready to play.
During those 30 days you earn rewards such as 10% rakeback on the casino house edge and daily casino and weekly sports cash drops, plus calendar unlocks you need to claim within 24 hours. Cloudbet pays them as cash with no wagering requirement. Two conditions from the terms: your account must have been registered on or after 2 January 2025, and you can't combine the package with another sign-up offer.
The honest read: "up to $2,500" is a ceiling, not a promise. You only get close if you play a lot during that month. Don't raise your stakes to chase it. If you want the full breakdown of how the rewards add up, see our sign-up bonus guide.

Step 10: Place a small first bet, then test a withdrawal
Before you get comfortable, prove the whole loop works:
- Place a small bet or play a few low-stake spins.
- Request a small withdrawal back to your own wallet or platform, on the correct network.
- Note how long it takes to arrive and whether any extra checks come up.
If that small test goes smoothly, you know your address, network and account details are all in order. If something gets stuck, you've found out with $20 on the line, not $2,000.
Signing up on your phone
Most Canadians open their account on a phone, and the steps are the same as on desktop. A few phone-specific tips make it smoother:
- Use your normal browser, not an in-app browser inside Instagram, TikTok or a messaging app. In-app browsers sometimes break the email confirmation link and make it harder to see the real web address.
- Set up your authenticator app first, so you can scan the 2FA code straight away instead of switching back and forth.
- Photograph your ID in good light on a flat, dark surface when the time comes. Blurry or cropped photos are the top reason uploads get rejected.
- Copy and paste deposit addresses, never type them. Then check the first and last few characters match before you send.
A quick tour once you're in
After you've signed up and confirmed your email, it's worth spending two minutes finding your way around before you deposit:
- Cashier / wallet: where you deposit, withdraw and see balances for each coin. Check which coins you'll actually use and ignore the rest.
- Account and security settings: 2FA, password changes and active sessions. Log out of any device you don't recognise.
- Responsible gambling settings: deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion.
- Rewards or promotions area: where the Welcome Package progress and any calendar unlocks show up once it's active. Remember those unlocks need claiming within 24 hours.
- Bet history: keep an eye on it. Looking back at a week of bets is the most honest way to see how you're really doing.
Also check how the site shows balances. Even if the site shows a dollar estimate next to your balance, your money is still held in the crypto you deposited, and its value moves with the market. If you deposit Bitcoin and its price drops, your balance drops too, even if you haven't placed a bet. Stablecoins like USDT avoid most of that swing, which is one reason many Canadians use them.
How long does the whole thing take?
Realistically, here's what to expect from a standing start:
- Sign-up form and email confirmation: two to five minutes.
- 2FA, limits and profile details: another five to ten minutes.
- Buying crypto on a Canadian platform for the first time: anywhere from an hour to a couple of days, because that platform has to verify your ID before Interac deposits clear.
- Your first crypto transfer to Cloudbet: usually minutes, depending on the network and how busy it is.
- Cloudbet verification, when it's asked for: varies, so upload clear documents early rather than waiting until you need a payout.
The slow part is almost never Cloudbet's form. It's getting crypto for the first time. If you already hold USDT or Bitcoin, you can be set up and funded in under half an hour.
The most common sign-up mistakes
- Signing up on a clone site. Always check you're on cloudbet.com.
- Reusing a password and skipping 2FA.
- Using a nickname or old address that won't match your ID later.
- Opening a second account for another bonus. It's against the rules and can cost you both.
- Using a VPN to look like you're somewhere else.
- Sending coins on the wrong network. Test small, every time you use a new route.
- Waiting to verify until there's a big withdrawal pending.
- Chasing the bonus with bets bigger than you'd normally make.
Signing up from Quebec
Cloudbet's site is available in French, and you can switch the language from the site menu. The legal age in Quebec is 18. Loto-Québec's Mise-o-jeu is the provincially licensed option, and Cloudbet isn't licensed by Quebec. If you'd rather read this in French, we have a French guide to paris en ligne au Québec.
What if you change your mind?
If you sign up and decide Cloudbet isn't for you, withdraw any balance first, then ask support to close the account or use the self-exclusion option in settings if you want a longer break. Self-exclusion is the better choice if the reason you're leaving is that you're gambling more than you want to. It stops you from reopening the account on impulse.
Is it worth signing up at all?
That depends on what you want. Cloudbet makes sense if you're comfortable with crypto, want a big sportsbook plus a casino in one account, and like rewards that pay out as cash. It doesn't make sense if you want provincial player protections, Interac straight to your bank account, or a regulator in Canada you can complain to. For that, stick with PlayNow or Loto-Québec. There's no wrong answer, just pick the one that fits how you actually bet.
Legal and tax notes
Under the Criminal Code, provinces conduct and manage gambling in Canada. Cloudbet is licensed in Curaçao, not by any Canadian province, so a provincial regulator can't step in if something goes wrong. This site doesn't serve Ontario or Alberta. Recreational gambling winnings generally aren't taxed in Canada, but buying, selling or swapping crypto can create a capital gain or loss, so keep records of your deposits and withdrawals for tax time. See our page on whether online betting is legal in Canada for more.

My take
The actual Cloudbet sign-up is quick: real site, email and password, confirm the email, done. The ten extra minutes are what keep you safe: turn on 2FA, set a deposit limit, use your real details, verify early, and test a small deposit and withdrawal before anything bigger. Do that and the account will just work, and the Welcome Package will be a bonus on top of a month you'd have played anyway, not a reason to play more.
