How BetHubCA Works: Our Editorial Team and Methodology

Straight up: BetHubCA is written by a small independent editorial team, not by a famous tipster or a celebrity ex-bookie. We don't put made-up names, stock-photo faces or fake credentials on our pages. What we can give you is a clear, checkable method, so you can judge every page for yourself.

Who is behind BetHubCA
Every page carries the byline "BetHubCA team". That's honest: guides are researched, drafted and checked by the same small team, and some drafting and checking is done with software tools, including AI writing tools. A person decides what goes live, and facts that can change (licences, helplines, tax rules, bonus terms) are checked against a named source before publishing. If you'd rather see a real name on every article, fair enough; we'd rather show you no name than an invented one.
How we choose what to write
We start from real questions Canadian players type into search engines, especially the specific ones big sites skip. Before writing, we read what already ranks for the question and ask: what's missing, what's out of date, what would a mate who has been burned before warn you about? Pages that would just repeat another page on this site don't get written.
How we check a betting site
- Licence first. We check your province's lottery or gaming regulator and the operator's own terms. The offshore brands we link to (Cloudbet, BetUS, VegasAces, SlotsParadise) are not licensed by any Canadian province. Provincial sites like PlayNow, Mise-o-jeu and PlayAlberta are. We never target Ontario.
- The operator's own documents. Terms and conditions, bonus rules, cashier/banking pages and help-centre articles. We note the date we read them, because they change.
- Money in and money out. Minimum and maximum deposits, which coins or cards are accepted, KYC triggers and stated withdrawal times, all taken from the operator's published pages, not from forum rumours.
- What we don't claim. Unless a page says we did it ourselves, we don't claim to have deposited, won or withdrawn. Odds, stakes and payouts in examples are illustrative and labelled that way.
Numbers, sources and dates
We don't invent statistics, win rates or "sure things". When a page states a fact that can change, it names the source and the month we checked it. Our Canada rules and offer-terms snapshot lists the facts we rely on most, each with its source and check date. Every article shows the date it was last updated; that's the real date the page changed, not a date that rolls forward on its own.

Update and correction policy
- Licence, tax and helpline facts are re-checked when the law or regulator announces a change, and at least every few months.
- When an operator changes its terms, we update the affected pages and the update date moves.
- Spotted a mistake? Tell us through the contact page. We fix factual errors and don't quietly delete the complaint.
How the site makes money
Some links are affiliate links. If you sign up and play through them, we may earn a commission, and that is how the site is paid for. It never changes what we say about licensing: if a brand isn't licensed in Canada, the page says so, link or no link. Full details are in our affiliate disclosure.
Free tools we built
Two calculators that run entirely in your browser, with nothing sent to us: the odds converter and margin calculator and the parlay calculator. Use them to see what a price really means before you put money down.
